2004 Kentucky Derby Contender Promotion

Lexington, KY (PRWEB) February 12, 2004

Horsehats.com, has announced a new 2004 Kentucky Derby promotion. As a gift from Horsehats.com, customers who buy a Horsehat for any 2004 Triple Crown contender will receive a $ 2 Bally’s Derby Future Book ticket on that horse. The ticket will reflect Bally’s posted odds on the date of purchase.

“We had a tremendous response from similar promotions last year with Derby contender Ten Most Wanted and with several Breeders’ Cup horses last October,” said Dave Williams of Horsehats.com. “It’s a way for fans to be more involved with their favorite horses.”

Fans who purchased a Cajun Beat Horsehat last fall for $ 19.95 were rewarded with a ticket that was worth $ 47.60 after he won the Breeders’ Cup Sprint at Santa Anita.

Currently Horsehats.com is featuring stylish Horsehats of these Triple Crown contenders: Cuvee, Eurosilver, Master David, Read The Footnotes, Master David, Fire Slam and St. Averil.

Several more Kentucky Derby contender Horsehats will be added in the near future. Customers purchasing Horsehats of the newcomers will also be eligible to receive a Bally’s Kentucky Derby Future Book ticket on that horse.

Founded in the fall of 2002, Horsehats.com now offers over fifty Horsehats for thoroughbred stars, both past (Seabiscut, Secretariat, Man o’War, etc) and present (Funny Cide, Ten Most Wanted, Cajun Beat, Eurosilver, etc.). The site also features famous stallions like Storm Cat and Unbridled’s Song and renowned stallion farms like Coolmore, Taylor Made, and Three Chimneys. Horsehats for popular trainers like Kenny McPeek are now available as well.

“Horsehats.com is really the first outlet to offer owner-licensed merchandise of popular thoroughbreds year round,” Williams said. “The owners are happy to participate. They receive free hats from HorseHats.com and earn royalties on every hat sold. And the fans have certainly responded well. I think everyone appreciates the chance to show their “team” loyalty like they can for the other sports they follow. Horse racing is the greatest sport in the world, and racing fans are eager to be treated the same as fans of other major sports.”

Among the charities supported by Horsehats owner-licensees are: The Race For Education, The Seattle Slew Spinal Cord Research program at Washington State University and CFIDS Association, which supports research into the mysterious disease Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
