BiGDUG Shelving Takes Pride of Place in Gloucestershire Students’ Videos

As part of an introductory course on multimedia, offered by the University of Gloucestershire multimedia department (http://mmedia.glos.ac.uk/), BiGDUG supplied six teams taking part with BiGDUG shelving (http://www.bigdug.co.uk/acatalog/Budget.html) and racking to create a promotional DVD for the company.

As part of the video assignment, students were required to use the BiGDUG shelving items provided in a humorous and innovative way, in order to create a promotional video that would stand out. Among the entries was a video which showed BiGDUG shelving and racking foiling a thief as he tries to escape, while another depicted the iconic Hollywood sign in L.A. with BiGDUG shelving.

The eventual winner was announced on Friday, May 25, and first place was awarded to Team ‘Shake and Bake’. Their promotional DVD invented “BiGDUG: the Game,” whereby BiGDUG shelving and boxes were played out in the form of a retro computer game and given a refreshing and fun element.
