Dr. Mark Kleive has joined the Black Mountain dental practice of Dr. Tom Cannon in preparation for Dr. Cannon’s upcoming retirement. After developing his practice for more than 34 years, Dr. Cannon says he is ready to wind down his career, and leave his patients in the capable hands of Dr. Kleive. “It is a true pleasure to welcome such a personable and competent dentist to my practice and to our community.”
After practicing privately on his own for 11 years in Maplewood, MN, Dr. Kleive says he and his wife were drawn to Black Mountain because of the landscape and strong community. In addition to continuing the tradition of high-quality family and general dentistry, Dr. Kleive says he is experienced and knowledgeable in dental implants and a range of cosmetic dentistry procedures, which he hopes will keep Dr. Cannon’s patients happy and smiling. “I’m really pleased and humbled to have been chosen by Dr. Cannon to take over his practice and I think I have a lot to offer the folks of Black Mountain.”
Dr. Cannon says he chose Dr. Kleive because of his strong background in continuing education and numerous accomplishments in the dental field, as well as his personal character and ethics. He adds that he feels comfortable with his decision because his patients seem as excited about Dr. Kleive as he is.
Dr. Kleive began working on a part-time basis on May 9 to allow him to get to know the Black Mountain dentistry patients during this transitional period. He says he is excited to join such a passionate dental team, and looks forward to getting to know Dr. Cannon’s patients. “I am excited about getting to know the people in this practice, and am truly grateful for the warm welcome they have given me.”
