American Public University System Adds Bachelor of Arts in General Studies to Its Broad Curriculum

Charles Town, W. Va. (Vocus) November 19, 2009

To enable students to focus on unique areas of study with more flexibility than is possible with a traditional major, American Public University System (APUS), announces a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies. APUS also offers an Associate degree in General Studies through its member institutions American Public University and American Military University. APUS is an accredited, online, university system that serves more than 50,000 working adults studying worldwide. It offers a broad range of more than 75 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in an affordable and flexible format.

The Bachelor of Arts in General Studies is designed for students who want to develop critical thinking skills through the study of several academic disciplines. These areas include: management and technology; culture, society and the environment; national and local security; and liberal and interpretive arts, among others. Students graduating from this program apply their skills and abilities in public policy, government related fields, helping professions, human resources and public relations.

“As we continue to expand our degree offerings for our diverse student population, the Bachelor of Arts in General Studies provides students with flexible options,” said Wallace E. Boston, Jr., President of APUS. “Our affordable tuition and respected curriculum is a win-win situation for students seeking to study an integrated and broad range of academic disciplines for their Bachelor’s degree program.”

Undergraduate classes at APUS are $ 250 per semester hour and a book grant provides texts and other reading materials at no cost to eligible undergraduate students. Classes start monthly, with courses offered in 8- and 16-week sessions. For more information on bachelor’s degrees at APUS, call 1-877-777-9081 or go to http://www.apus.edu.

Polaris Marketing Research American Perception of Customer Service Study Evaluates American Consumer Loyalty

Polaris Marketing Research American Perception of Customer Service Study Evaluates American Consumer Loyalty

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) July 20, 2011

Polaris Marketing Research Inc. announced today more results of its recent study of American consumer perceptions of customer service. Nearly three-quarters of American consumers (72%) say “If a company treats me right, I tend to be loyal to them.” However, 26 percent say they are less loyal to companies than they were four years ago.

The findings were remarkably stable over demographic subgroups of the population. However, younger consumers (less than 50 years of age) are much more likely to be loyal to companies than older consumers, with older consumers more likely to be “looking for the best deal” rather than being loyal to companies.

“The American consumer understands the benefits of loyalty, of creating stable relationships with product and service providers. However, businesses are not delivering the levels of service to reap the rewards of loyalty for themselves,” said Polaris President Jan Carlson.

Polaris conducted online surveys with a representative sample of 1,000 American consumers during the week of June 20, 2011.

Founded by Jan Carlson, Polaris Marketing Research is a full-service firm that provides state-of-the-art online interactive marketing research reporting, interviewing and data collection, quantitative and qualitative research expertise and personalized project management.

Atlanta-based Polaris Marketing Research is affiliated with the Council of American Survey Research Organizations, the American Marketing Association and the American Society for Quality.
