Pissouri Villas For Rent from Eve Villas Now With 20% Off On 2012 Cyprus Holidays

Pissouri Villas For Rent

Limassol, Cyprus (PRWEB) December 27, 2011

Around the world, there has been growth in cultural tourism and agrotourism, as those visiting a new destination seek to experience the culture and traditions instead of just the regular sun, sea and sand. Sampling local cuisine, visiting interesting cultural sites and immersing oneself in local village life can give a far more enjoyable holiday than a hotel room which could be anywhere in the world. This is one of the reasons for the global growth in private villa rentals as a holiday option.

Local family run business Eve Pissouri Villas, offers a selection of Pissouri villas for rent, in the small picturesque village of Pissouri on the sunny island of Cyprus. This leading Pissouri holiday rentals company has seen a great increase in the number of holiday villa bookings year on year, mainly from return bookings and referrals from previous guests who recommend their villas to their friends. Owner and director Mr Stavros Panayiotou, feels that as well as the increased interest in rural tourism, this growth is also due to the many benefits offered by renting a private villa versus a traditional hotel as well as the fact that prices are more reasonable.

Mr Panayiotou explains: “As well as a desire to really discover places we visit nowadays, the flexibility offered by a private villa is unrivalled as you face no restrictions for your breakfast times, pool hours or how many guests you can have visiting you. You can freely explore the local area and come and go as you please. Not to mention that most villa rentals are also more affordable than hotels, making them ideal for families or groups of friends, as this area is also very popular for weddings.”

Pissouri itself is a beautiful small village between the towns of Limassol and Paphos, conveniently located close to many local cultural sites and archaeological ruins including an ancient amphitheatre close by. With a rare combination of dramatic country hills and a stunning view over the sandy Pissouri bay, this picturesque village perched on the hill offers holidaymakers a relaxing and unique Cyprus holiday. The traditional village elements are still in place, including a bustling village square with local tavernas, coffee shop and plenty of events to keep visitors entertained. Close by there are also offers of golf, spa, tennis and wonderful walking trails through the naturally beautiful area.

Mr Panayiotou continues on why choosing a rental villa in Pissouri suits many people seeking a more flexible and private holiday option. “Most holidaymakers to Pissouri choose villas with their own swimming pools and barbecue facilities so that friends and extended family can join them. The Pissouri villas offered by Eve Pissouri Villas, provide a peaceful location, and are also close to the beach. We offer further seasonal special offers and we are very pleased to announce today our new special offer for 2012 where we are offering 20% off all bookings as well as excellent deals on car hire.”

With all these great reasons, it is no wonder that Pissouri is becoming increasingly popular as a tourist destination in Cyprus.

Mr Panayiotou says: “Holidaymakers can find useful information about Pissouri on our website as well as ideas for places to visit and things to do in the local area. Customers can review and choose the property of their interest and easily book their villa or apartment online, or even email or call us directly to make their 2012 booking with our special discount now.”

About Eve Pissouri Villas:

Family run holiday rentals agency Eve Pissouri Villas has over 15 years experience in Pissouri villas for rent and holiday rentals and offers a selection of properties in Pissouri overlooking the picturesque Pissouri Bay and a short distance from the village square and local tavernas and entertainment.

All guests are provided with a generous welcome pack including local bites and fruits. Taxi transfers and car hire can also be arranged via the friendly staff.

Archaeology Photography: SitesandPhotos.com Streamlines Search, Delivery of Exclusive, In-Depth Archaeological Visual Content

Tel Aviv, Israel (PRWEB) February 21, 2007

Sites & Photos today announced the launch of SitesandPhotos.com – the world’s first dedicated and fully-searchable collection of archaeological photographs and video. With over 80,000 archaeology images and 1300 DVD-quality videos covering more than 400 archaeological sites across the Mediterranean basin, SitesandPhotos.com is the largest online archaeology media resource.

Conceived and built with the needs of academics, publishers, and scholars in mind – SitesandPhotos.com is a highly-organized and constantly-expanding collection – the brainchild of archaeologist and photographer Samuel Magal. Magal’s high quality images have been featured for years in authoritative text books and are used daily in universities and colleges across the world to teach the next generation of archaeologists and historians.

Recognizing demand among fellow scholars for easily-accessible media, cataloged according to key research parameters like site or monument name, type and style, historical era or geographical region, Magal founded SitesandPhotos.com to be a one-stop-shop for archaeological research. The web site includes visual content from both well-known and rare archaeological sites, in-depth site background information, and an archive of archaeological articles and diagrams.

With an innovative subscription or simple one-time purchase business models, SitesandPhotos.com image bank makes more archaeological content more accessible, more cost-effectively, to a wider audience. Academic institutions can subscribe to the complete library, offering unlimited access to images and videos. Publishing houses can enjoy unique pricing plans dependent upon size, quality and media usage.

“Online archaeological research suffered from a glut of low-quality, uncataloged media,” noted Magal. “Simply put, we created SitesandPhotos.com to make life easier for researchers. By offering high-quality images and video supplemented by comprehensive background knowledge, all organized in a logical catalog, SitesandPhotos.com is an indispensable tool for universities, publishers, and researchers worldwide,” he concluded.

Archaeological Training Excavation at Syon House

Archaeological Training Excavation at Syon House

London, United Kingdom (PRWeb UK) April 25, 2009

For the sixth year, Birkbeck Faculty of Lifelong Learning is offering an archaeological training excavation aimed at anyone aged 17 years and upwards with an interest in practical archaeology.

The excavation – in the grounds of Syon House at Brentford in West London – will be carried out in conjunction with Syon Park and Museum of London Archaeology, and will take place over five weeks in June and July 2009.

Each 5-day course will provide practical training in archaeological excavation and recording techniques, initial finds processing and other aspects of archaeological investigation. Students will be taught by on-site professional archaeologists and visiting specialists, and training will be geared to all levels of experience – including absolute beginners.

Syon House, the London home of the Duke of Northumberland, was built on the site of the only medieval Bridgettine abbey in England, founded in the early 15th century. The Abbey is of unique archaeological and historical interest. At the time of its suppression in A.D. 1539, it was one of the wealthiest in England, but its exact whereabouts in the grounds of Syon House had remained a mystery until 2003 – when Channel 4′s Time Team made some remarkable discoveries, including the site of the lost, once great, church.

The site being excavated is situated in the lawns and meadows to the east of the historic House. Students will reveal and record the remains of the medieval Abbey, as well as traces of the series of later formal gardens.
