Former Pagan Chaplain Writing Series of Books on Practical Magick
(PRWEB) October 22, 2006
Ian Edwards, the former Pagan Chaplain at Kingston Prison, Portsmouth,England, is shortly to finish the first in a series of practical magick books.
“It all came about after I lost my position at the prison due to the Pagan Federation withdrawing their support for my ministry after all the media coverage about it last year” He said “True, I had been a bit of a twit in forgetting to tell the prison authorities – and them – about the interview, but my impression was that the interview was about Samhain (Halloween) rather than my work as a chaplain in the prison. The prison authorities were very understanding about it being an honest mistake but could not allow me to continue because of the Federations’ withdrawal of support. I had previously mentioned my role as a Prison Chaplain to the media with no adverse comment.
Because of my life experiences and chaplaincy role I had amassed a huge amount of information on many aspects of Magick and Pagan Spirituality. In fact I wrote the first non-denominational leaflet for use by the Pagan Chaplaincy throughout the British Prison System which explained in general terms what Paganism means. Considering my knowledge and experiences I realised I had collected enough material to write in-depth useful books on the practical application of Magick and Pagan philosophy to everyday life to help people get what they want.
The first book is on Wealth. Rather than being just a spell book it also contains practical approaches, personal experiences, and underlying principles of wealth building. I have written it in the multi-layered style of the Oriental strategy books such as the “Book of Five Rings”, which are popular in the financial world because although the techniques seem simple the more you read them, the deeper meanings become apparent.
The personal experiences I go into, such as the Brujo (Mexican Wizard) who appeared to be just a corner shoe-shine man, but owned several houses and a large stock portfolio are true, and are told in the style of the therapeutic metaphors that I use in hypnotherapy. These help people use both sides of the brain and tap their own innate skills and abilities realising their own path to wealth. This book is a guide book to doing this – rather than just another collection of spells with no background into how the author used them, the results when he did, or how he learned of them in the first place.”
